Key Stage 2 Data 2019: Interim results

 

School cohort context – There were only 14 pupils in total in Y6 -4 girls and 10 boys. 4 of the 14 pupils (28.5%) were identified as having a Special Educational Need or Disability.  

 

Maths: 35.7% meeting expected standards (National: 79%)

Reading: 35.7% meeting expected standards (National: 73%)

Writing: 50% meeting expected standards (National: 78%)

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 57.1% meeting expected standards (National: 78%)

 

In 2019, 21.4% of our pupils ( 3 out of 14 ) achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths, combined .

Our average scaled scores, where 100 is the expected national standard, are as follows (there are no scaled scores available for Writing):

 

  •  School average scaled score in Reading 97.9 (National:104)
  •  School average scaled score in Maths 98.8 (National:105)
  •  School average scaled score in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling  99.9 (National:106)

 

Attainment: higher level

 

We continue to offer challenge to all children, including higher attaining pupils. Scaled scores of over 110 are considered ‘high scores’ where children are achieving a higher standard.

  • Reading: 7% high scores (National: 27% )
  • Writing: 0% high scores (National 20%)
  • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 7% high scores (National:36 %)
  • Maths: 0% high scores (National: 27%)

 

Progress

 

The Department for Education measures progress from Key Stage 1 (KS1) to Key Stage 2 (KS2). Expected progress is zero, with anything above that being better than expected and negative numbers showing less than expected progress. 

 

  •  Reading progress -6.52  Confidence interval -9.8 to -3.3
  • Maths progress -6.51 Confidence interval -9.3 to -3.7
  • Writing  progress -6.20 Confidence interval  -9.2 to -3.2
