Pupil Premium

What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is allocated to local authorities and schools with pupils on roll that are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years, are looked after children or have parents serving in the armed forces.  The funding allocation per pupil changes each year.

Our school has the freedom to spend the Pupil Premium, which is additional to the underlying schools budget, in a way we think will best address inequalities, tackle disadvantage and support the raising of attainment for our pupils.

A breakdown on how the Pupil Premium was spent last year including the impact of expenditure  and our new provision plan for 2018 can be found in the document links on the right of this page.

Applying for Pupil Premium funding

All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils are now entitled to have free meals without it being dependent on family income.  However, this makes it harder for us to find out which pupils are eligible for the Pupil Premium.  If you are in receipt of any of the benefits listed below then the school may be able to receive this extra funding:

  •          Income Support
  •          Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  •          Income Related Employment & Support Allowance
  •          Child Tax Credit, but not entitled to Working Tax Credit and whose annual income (as assessed by HMRC) does not exceed £16,190
  •          Support under part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
  •          Guarantee element of State Pension Credit

You can get a form from the school office to apply for the funding, or visit the link to Cambridgeshire County Council website below.

If you are unsure of require any help filling in the form, them please do not hesitate to contact the school.
