School Council

What we do to help the school

The school council gives children a chance to share their ideas for making Guyhirn Church of England Primary School a better place. Our policy is that everybody in the school should have a chance to share their ideas and be listened to. We have set up a suggestion box in every class so if someone wants to make a suggestion to improve our school then they can. We think this will be good for children who are shy about talking about their ideas.

During our meetings we have discussed supporting the community fridge, which we have arranged a collection box in reception for donations. Posters were made by the committee which have been displayed around school.
At our most recent meeting on 11th March it was discussed what equipment the children would like use of in the playground and ways to fund-raise for this.

We hold meetings throughout the year, arranging fund raising days, dress up days and lots of other exciting things.
