We are delighted to share with you the final report outlining the findings from our recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, which took place on Thursday 21st October 2021.The principal objective of a SIAMS inspection is to evaluate how effective the school’s distinctive Christian Vision is established and promoted by leadership at all levels in enabling pupils and adults to flourish.
Our School was graded as Good
‘Pupils, staff and governors are inspired by a deep compassion for one another to ensure the flourishing of all’
‘Pupils thrive academically because staff are deeply committed to ensuring that all, including those to be vulnerable, have their individual needs met’
‘Parents speak movingly about how staff regularly go above and beyond to ensure that their children are flourishing. This was evident in the school’s response through lockdown in which a high-quality education – combined with a priority on well-being of families – enabled the school community to navigate this difficult period well. ‘
Pupils behaviour is excellent. Pupils feel safe and enjoy school.
RE has a very prominent place within the curriculum.
These are a small selection of the findings from the report.
The inspector spent time talking with our children and they were very articulate, honest and enthusiastic about their school and what life was like for them as a pupil. We are very proud of our continuing achievements as a Church school and are extremely appreciative of everyone who continues to support us in our small community. We are continually working to improve all aspects of school life and we have already began addressing the areas for development from this report, as well as our objectives from our School Development Plan.
